mortgage and fixed term post

I am considering applying for a 2 year fixed term full-time job but also want to apply for a joint repayment mortgage soon with my husband. Will the mortgage company look on our application unfavourably if my job was temporary/fixed? (My husband has a permanent job). Any help would be appreciated.

Providing you fit the lenders' other criteria around income etc. there are lenders that will give you a normal mortgage no problems.
