  • I am funny about tea as well-and I won't buy crap meat-I would rather go without then eat cheap, boney (and yes, even HAIRY mince once! eek!)

I treat myself with the odd trashy mag-bad huh?

  • I agree with CAFCgirl....it's tea for me. What - the economy is collapsing around our ears? The planet is heating up at a rapid rate and we're all gonna fry? Oil, petrol and gas are going to run out so we can't move anywhere and we're going to sit and freeze in our homes come Wintertime? Let's have a nice cuppa tea, that'll make it ALL better. Mine's a cup of Twinings Earl Grey. Or when I want a real treat then a tall extra hot skinny chai tea latte from Starbucks! x
  • I'm with Bunny on the meat, I always have nice meat.

I do love decent wine too but have been drinking cheaper stuff of late so that must have been easier for me to 'give' on :rotfl:. Oh AND I am banned from buying chocolate until Xmas  (100 day challenge) and have promised myself that when I go back to it it will be a bar or two of premium a month rather than lots of bars of crap when I pass it in the supermarket.

  • broadband.

    Cadburys chocolate.

    Decent tea.

    never ever giving those up.

edited to add, horribly expensive Regentiv Skincare. although it is not working too well at the moment!
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Dead Sea Spa Magik skin care - anything else brings me out in red blotches.

Protein - I know M&S is horribly expensive, but since I buy for my elderly mother as well as myself, there's no way I'm stinting on quality meat and fish.

Royal Canin prescription dog food - the dogs are my babies, and I would starve rather than see them not eat the right food.

I have been getting my fresh fruit and veg from M&S too, on the grounds that it lasts for as long as I need it to, unlike the fruit and veg I was getting from other supermarkets - it would spoil before I could use it, and I'd end up buying double the amount. However, colleagues at work have been raving over Aldi, so next payday, I shall be giving that a try.

This, after a very tough weekend, has had me in stitches...

do you mind if I steal if for my sig line?!:rotfl:

Im actually really lucky to work in tea and coffee (lol hence why i cannot stand cr&p quality stuff), so I do get a discount which makes it beter, but I just drink, and therefore buy more of it lately to stave off the sense of growing disappointment with the world:o

So many fantastic suggestions already! Definitely agree with tea, bread, eggs, and meat. I also use Elemis and Clarins skincare - costs a lot but I make it last and last and last, and can usually buy on some sort of offer online (plus get cashback through Greasy Palm or Quidco).

I so want some Cadbury's chocolate right now but will settle for a cup of tea!
