Sure Approved Foods prices are attractive and I have ordered 4 times, but the deliveries have been a problem.
For the last two orders I have not been told that they have been sent and so the courier has arrived when I was out! I had to rearrange the delivery and the goods suffered being transported a second time! The last delivery took 10 days just to the first attempt! Moreover looking at my account today the last two orders, in May, still show "Awaiting Shipment"! So how can I trust them to do any better next time?
Somewhat galling it was to receive the email shouting about their birthday celebrations and crowing how well they've done!
Yes, but what about their customers?!

  • Just wanted to know, if we plan our shopping via mySupermarket on a Monday night, will the prices or offers change by Tuesday night when we actually do the shopping? We're not convinced about getting shopping delivered for £3.00 or £5.00 just yet, we're still doing good old fashioned pushing a trolley round....appreciate some advice.....thanks

    Dave,

Yes you will find that you pay the price which applies at the time of delivery, not time of order. The only case I know of when this applies!
But if you shout loud enough you will be able to get them (Tesco, Sainsburys) to make good any difference by refund.
It's not just a few pence.
You will also find they will substitute if, again at delivery, they don't have what you ordered in stock.
Very often I have found they replace it with a higher price item!
    Sometimes very much higher!

  • Thanks Nigel. What I was asking though, was if I create a shopping list on a Monday night through mySupermarket, and print it to do a physical shop in-store myself on Tuesday night, would Monday nights prices/deals still apply?

I think that was part of my point - the prices you see when you order are not bound to be the prices applicable when the order is delivered or on the shelves if you choose to buy in-store.
In fact I am not sure, the prices on the web are necessarily the same as in-store at the same time.

    Hope that is clearer

Hi all, I wonder if you can help me. I've just started using MySupermarket and thought I could use it to to compare prices on all goods across all supermarkets. I imported my shopping basket from Sainsbury's and went through it picking all the stuff I normally buy, most of which is own brand or in the 'Basics' range.

I was hoping that at the end the website would show me - where applicable - whether any of the other supermarkets they compare had any of the products I selected cheaper, including comparing, for instance, the 'Basics' items with 'Value' items from Tesco, or the own-brand Sainsbury's stuff with own-brand ASDA items.

However it only told me where the items I'd selected could be got cheaper by switching packet size or brand (i.e. downshifting) within the range of products Sainsbury's had to offer. Am I doing something wrong? How do I get it to tell me whether I could get the same items cheaper at ASDA/Tesco/Morrisons etc? :o

Thanks in advance for your help! :)

Why doesn't MYSUPERMARKET compare Morrisons or Co-op ?
It appears biased towards Tescos !!
Cheese, for example is generally much cheaper in Morrisons
and as for Asda - I tried this store yesterday (first time in 8 years) and regretted it
The food had a limited shelf life and the choice (what choice) - I now know how they "guarantee a cheaper spend" - low quality food = never again.....

I believe they only compare supermarkets who deliver.
