I give up..blooming catalogue

I have written to Reliable Collections (Simply Be catalogue) by recorded delivery, on the 9th October requesting that I can make a token payment due to my personal circumstances changing, also requested that they stop harrassing me by telephone and to contact me by writing - I sent the standard letters for payments and the harrassing telephone letter, obviously amended to my details. I had even put the token payment over to them the day I sent the letter off so that it was in their account and they could see I was serious.

I have also told them countless times that I can only pay every 28 days not once a month, although I always thought every 28 days was once a month..hmm. But I notice they have put late payments on my credit report 3 times even though I sent a payment once every 28 days.

Now why can't they understand that once every 28 days is once every 28 days, I get my benefit every 28 days and as soon it hits my bank account it gets sent to the catalogue on immediate transfer. So what is their problem? I don't get it..

Also they are still ringing me - I thought I had got the message as I hadn't had a phone call at all yesterday, but no today they ring me twice and I get an automated message on my answerphone.. Do they not read the letters sent? Is it a waste of my time and postage sending these letters?

I try and do the right thing and let them know when things are tough so we can come to an agreeable arrangement..

It doesn't do my anxiety any good as I get more and more worked up..oh I give up!!

reliable collections are the devil  I deal with them too for a simplybe account, they phone me about 5 times a day  but I have caller display so I just ignore them !

The first few times I did answer they asked me to pay the whole balance, and I had to tell them countless times that I had an agreement, and they wouldnt even say anything while they checked my details, they are sooooo rude   they say I am behind with my payments even when I have paid, then they muttered something about I need to pay every 28 days, and they are telling you the opposite

They are a nightmare to deal with ! I dont have any advice I just wanted to let you know I have been going through the same.

  • Im paying them £25 a week at the moment, and every time I ring up to make a payment they try and get me to pay more - once I had to check that I was paying the £25 as she tried to take £50 off my card and wondered why it declined. They are really rude too - I know they are a DCA but it doesnt cost anything to be polite!

Phew I'm glad it's not just me that is finding Reliable Collections little !!!!!s.. I even doubt my sanity sometimes, which is not good when you suffer from depression in the first place.. :D

I also have caller display and I think I cottoned onto their number 0141 ******, trouble is they don't just ring the once they ring every hour sometimes, every day and if they leave messages and my DH picks them up he is not amused to say the least..

Oh well I will just keep sending them the harrassment letters, I am sure they will get the message eventually, as well as putting the payment over to them every 28 days, and if they don't like it - tough! It's not as if I am not making a payment, but if I don't have any more they can't get blood out of a stone..

I dont understand, i managed to get them off my back with the letter from nationaldebt line, threatening them with legan action should they carry on harrassing me. I went down the route of asking them to supply me with a true signed copy of the credit agreement, which ofcourse my signiture was not on there as i didnt sign any agreement (before april last yr i took it out).. So i managed to get away from the debt. I know it isnt good thing but i was up for anything, and i followed the law, and i do not hve to pay them a penny back, even their reply to me they knew they couldnt get anymore from me. They have since left me alone. Except for showing on my credit file for the next 6 yrs. But i am trying to get them to come off, as they did not have my permission..
