Play.com how long to place order?

Hi,
I ordered a camera a few days ago from Play.com but my account says 'order placed' but not processed yet. Is it likely that I'll never see my shiny new camera?!

  • They are reliable. Possibly just awaiting stock, you will get it as long as they have it.
    Never had trouble with them.

    i placed an order with them for a wii game that another poster put a thread up on the grabbit board, it went from item packing to awaiting stock, nearly 2 weeks later they are still awaiting stock :mad: , how can a item go from being packed, to being out of stock :rolleyes: , and what really bugs me is they say they dont take payment until item is despatched, but they took my money the day i ordered the game, but saying that up until now i have never had a problem with them, Dave

  • I've ordered from them before quite happily, was just a little concerned as the price of the camera has now changed and is still showing as in stock- devliery in 48 hours...ah well, I'll wait and see! Thanks.

    I ordered a dvd set about a week ago and they said they were awaiting stock and the item would be despatched as soon as received. I then saw that the price was reduced by 50% and was going to cancel and reorder but my order had already been updated with the new offer price. I've had an e-mail today to say the item has been despatched. Although I've had to wait a bit longer than I wished, I'm more than happy as I've received the 50% discount and think this is great customer service!

    i have given up with play.
    i used to preorder with them, hoping to get my items delivered at least on the day of release. the last three, one never got dispatched, the second was over a week late than i could have go it from the shops, the third, they had run out of stock, but kept my order in preorderd. never bother with them again. lousey customer service, no email address, 08 telephone number, and slow, i think they tried ti run before they could could walk.

    I ordered a dvd player in March. it turned up in July - the day after I'd ordered one from Amazon instead. I'm still waiting for a replacement/refund for faulty dvds which were returned - with authorisation - in July. Don't think I'll be shopping there again.

    Never had a problem with play. Was sent wrong item 3 weeks ago. E-mailed and got my return authorisation code and new item was ordered and despatched that day. I recieved my originally ordered product before I returned the one sent by mistake. Excellent customer service and really fast at rectifying mistakes.
