extra payments to my loan

Can anyone tell me if you can pay extra into your personal loan and if its worth it no matter how small the amount?

It depends on the loan provider and loan product. You need to ring whoever you've got the loan with to clarify.

Thanks for the reply am gona find out and if I can make bigger payments to one loan and see if I can get that finished quicker and then start on the 2nd one. Should hopefully be getting some bonus money next year and although I would love to take the kids away am gona throw every penny I can at this debt. I still cant believe I have been so stupid with money. I get so annoyed at myself for this.

Just had another phone call even after sending a letter of complaint on the 9th of October. Am crying whilst writing this the guy was on the phone for 20 mins. I just kept telling him the same thing. I have asked for any missed payments to be put in writing and a statement of how the charges are made up he just went on and on to pay it now. Then he asked me for the payment that is due on the 24th october!!!!!! I replied I wont be paying it until its due. He kept on back tracking on himself and changing his story and then he shouted at me saying ....... the long and short of it is you dont want to pay the charges do you?. At this point I quietly put the phone down on him. I then called BT and got their call barring service service which starts tomorrow. I then called their customer relations and lo and behold they havent got my letter. I made a complaint and got a reference number told them I was going to ofcom about this. I also said if someone came to your door and abused you like this you would involve the police. He said it would be investigated. I wont hold my breath. The worst thing is even after telling this lunatic on the phone that I am more than willing to pay my debt I just want to see exactly what I owe he wasnt even interested he just wanted money there and then. Im sorry for ranting but am near the end of my tether with these people.
