    When did you first take these catalogues out?

    The factsheet in the link below explains a lot about dealing with catalogue debts and credit agreements. ;)

    Good advice from fermi , as always . You can request a copy of the signed consumer credit agreement from the DCA. This can allow you more time and if they do not have one , you may want to offer payments that will be suitable to your circumstances.
  • i took them about 3 to 4 years ago
    whats does dca mean?
    what address would i sent my requests to?

    The law changed for agreements taken out after April 2007. But you don't have to worry about that if the accounts are that old. ;)

    The advise in the factsheet applies to you.
    whats does dca mean?

    DCA = Debt Collection Agency
    what address would i sent my requests to?

    To the address of whoever is demanding payment.

    dca means debt collection agency. you need to send the cca request to the dca who are chasing you for the money.
  • would a catalogue pass on a debt if i didnt have a credit agreement? is this them just trying to scare me?

    The catalogue may have sold the debt onto a DCA yes but without being able to provide a credit agreement they will not be able to legally enforce the debt therefore making it easier for you to make repayments on terms that are much more affordable to yourself.
