'Fur Real' friends - experience and prices?

Has anyone got or seen these FurReal pets (cats/dogs/kittens/puppies).

My young kids love animals, but we don't want any real animals. Wifey fancies the idea of one of these toys.

They have them in Argos for £29.99 for the cat, £49.99 for the dog and £19.99 for the kittens/puppies. I've spotted that Toys R Us have them for half price! Cat for £15! But they're sold out. On the web-site at least - might pop into local store to see if they have any left there.

But...does anyone have any experience or comments about them?

And does anyone know where to get them any cheaper? I've spent ages looking around, but not found anything.
