we have been doing single jabs for my daughter. we think she may have had mumps but even after having a blood test the lab results show that they dont know. if she has had mumps will it be bad to have the jab anyway? thanks in advance.

I'm a medical student and funnily enough had to give a presentation on MMR vaccination this morning!
I would recommend that you have your daughter vaccinated, it would not be a problem at all if she has already had mumps; in fact it would make it less likely that she will get the mild flu-like symptoms that you can sometimes get for a day or two as a side effect after the mumps vaccine.
Having had severe mumps myself it's definately not fun! The vaccine's pretty good and very worthwhile I would say.
Hope that helps x0
