Dreams mattress?

Hi
In desperation to replace landlord-supplied mattress I purchased Dreams comfort mattress (£170) - I assumeding that my existing 2 inch memory foam would be sufficient. I am now struggling to sleep on new mattress as it is too hard. I have Dreams option to swap mattress for more expensive option but are unsure if I should cut my losses with Dreams mattress, and get recommended replacement? I was prepared to spend £300-350, but have already outlayed the £170. Any suggestions appreciated.

I got the Kildare bed from dreams & its heaven.
It was 1.5K, BUT that was Superking size with 4 drawers & it was a whole bed.
Have a look at just the mattress in the size you require. It might be affordable.
It is fantastic;)0 -
This is it
Its £799 for a single matteress

I thought it would be less, as its half a bed (matteress only) & half my mattress.0 -
Dreams are notoriously bad for supplying lower quality at inflated prices. Just ask for your money back and buy elsewhere.

I would prefer my money back but paperwork says mattresses cannot be returned.0

But, if it's not been supplied to your specification and is too hard, then SOGA means you've been mislead and can get a refund?! They make enough money out of the rest of the sales to cover the lost sale of one mattress:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. We have an Ikea foam mattress. Had it for 3 years. It's proper mattress thickness and not hard. Showing no sign of wear yet and has kept it's shape and bounce. (I weigh 11 stone and my partner weighs 15 stone.)
Ikea are currently selling them for £70+:

Have you got a spare duvet that you can put on top of the mattress, this may help.
Asda had some cheap ones in the other day if you don't have a spare.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -

I have had the mattress for 7 days. Currently sleeping with 2 x 2'' memory foam and blanket and duvet. I have contacted Dreams customer service and need now to speak direct to store0

I hope you get some joy from them, and even better, some money back! Just say that you've found another mattress more suited to you and you don't need a replacement, just a refund...?
