I wanna build a guitar

Options
I am looking to build a high quality guitar - I used to be a carpenter and have just sorted out my workshop again, I have lost all my old contacts as to where to get wood and I'm looking to see if anyone who does similar things can help.

My ideal guitar would be a PRS-style shape with 3 Single coil pickups, however PRS guitars normally come with Humbuckers and their bodies are dense (mahogany) to enhance the tone through these pickups.
Since i'll be using 3 single coil p'ups, I need the wood to be a bit lighter - Here's what I need:

A timber supplier that can provide Flamed or Quilted matched Maple or normal Maple wood at a size of 500mm x 400mm x 12mm
A timber supplier that can provide Alder wood at a size of 500mm x 400mm x 35mm

I would consider local alternatives of wood & wood like your thoughts (mdf, plywood and pine are out i'm afraid ;) ) I stay in Scotland which has an abundance of managed hardwoods - but I don't know what types compare with the woods I have listed.

This is a very specific request, however I wanna buy-it or do-it and i'm sure there are people who can help.

Thanks & wish me luck.

J
