Everyday loans...whats going on with them?

I have a personal loan with Everyday loans, and have been paying them for over a year at a rate of £230 pm, but recently, I recieved a letter from them to say my local office was closing with immediate effect with no warning, and my account was being transferred to the central office. No problem I thought, but since then, I have tried to call them 7 times and left messages for them to call me regarding the loan, but I have had no response, should I stop my DD until they contact ME? At the moment I have no idea where my money is actually going, as I cant get through to anyone to even verify that they are even in business anymore! Anyone got any clues? Im a bit nervous!
CC limits £26000
Long term CC debt £0
Total low rate loan debt £3000
Almost debt free feeling, priceless.
Ex money nightmare, learnt from my mistakes and never going back there again, in control of my finances for the first time in my adult life and it feels amazing.

Hi there
And do not worry.
Has any payments come out of your account since you heard hun ?
On the letter, did you try contacting the telephone numbers on it ?
Did the letter mention that someone would be in touch about future payments ?
My guess would be that they have a bank that take out debits but another company will actually take over the main of the company.
Its only guesswork.
You could try getting in touch with some authorities to put your mind at ease, such as the FSA, google in FSA contacts and this should come up, maybe they have some answers for you.
With a bit of luck someone else will post to you hun but personally in my opinion I would not stop the DD just yet - just to be on the safe side.;)
Hope you resolve this, do you think you could post up and let me know hunni ?
Thanks hun.
Good luck!
Di.

Cheers Di, yes I tried to call the main number on the letter which just rang out, then I tried a couple of numbers off the website and they went to an answerphone which nobody returns my calls from. I'l keep trying and then see what happens, if I still have no joy before next payment is due, I will stop it and wait till someone calls me,which I have no doubt they would very fast! I wouldn't feel comfortable paying them when they cant even contact me.

I would not cancel your Direct Debit. Doing so may have an adverse effect on your credit rating, and may be a bad thing in the long term.
I would suggest writing a letter of complaint to the company. Find their head office address and send it there, by recorded delivery (you will then be able to see if it has been signed for, and by who - so they cannot claim non-receipt). See what you get from that before you go defaulting on payments. What would William Shatner do?0
