Welcome!
When the money leaves your account, what is the name of the organisation taking the money?
Did you get any type of paperwork with the car documents?SOA = Statement of Affairs (to find a SOA Calculator, google 'make sense of cards' & click on calculators tab > Statement of Affairs)0 -

Can you remember signing paperwork for the credit at all?
Your first step might be to request a copy of the agreement CCA? I'm a newbie on this particular board so help might be needed from a more knowledgeable member.SOA = Statement of Affairs (to find a SOA Calculator, google 'make sense of cards' & click on calculators tab > Statement of Affairs)0 -
i signed a contract for what i thought was car finance in stoneacre garage itself. have rung barclarcard finance up requesting a copy of the contract twice but all they send me is the back page with my signature. the sales people 2 of them dealt with barclaycard finance and all the paperwork requesting finance e.t.c. and i end up with a personal loan which i never would of took unless it was with my own bank. never banked with barclays0

they told me after 3 years i could give the car back ( which would have been nov 09) rest of loan would be cleared no worries!!! or carry on payiny each month till 5 yrs is up or take out new car again and keep paying each month. EASY RIGHT? oh how stupid i was, barclay informed me because this is a personal loan and the car was mine from day 1, i cant actually give it back im stuck with it unless i sell it....... im so totally lost :-(0

You should have received some paperwork in the post to confirm the loan. These would confirm what type of loan it is. Sounds a bit like mis-selling so far though. These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!
I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!0 -
no not got any paperwork on it i have looked everywhere just in case i have mis placed something.0

Have you made a written request for the CCA (Credit Agreement)?
I normally hang out on the Debt Free Wannabe board & there are people using template letters to request the agreement. I would post your query on there, explaing you have signed up for what you thought to be car finance but has turned out to be a loan & ask for the CCA request letters. It might be that if they cannot produce the agreement it may not be enforcable. Just remember not to sign the letter when you send it!SOA = Statement of Affairs (to find a SOA Calculator, google 'make sense of cards' & click on calculators tab > Statement of Affairs)0 -
