I had a bit of a nightmare shop today, had to go to a phone shop and ask for details of a new phone, saying my contract was nearly up. As much as I tried to tell her I just wanted information, she insisted on taking all my details and phoning o2 to check when my contract was due to expire (in about 12 months!) So I was sat there panicking away until she started talking on the phone... it turned out that she misheard the number and the one she had asked for details about had debts of over £700 with o2. After that she couldn't get rid of me quick enough. I didn't even get a chance to take her name. How do I write that one up in a report?:rotfl::rotfl:

Kelly I always think honesty is the best policy. You didn't do anything wrong. As long as you followed the briefing notes precisely you have nothing to worry about.

We al have these nightmares now and again. I once did a mobie shop and I was supposed to say I had lost my mobile. No sooner were the words out of my mouth than my mobie rang ( it was in my pocket out of view but I had forgotten to switch it on). The bloke said Oh looks like you have found it so I just replied ...."Oh that is my work mobile"

  • Sorry Josie, but yeah you were the only one to bring this up..........aplogies anyway, i am with TNS, you might be aware that not everyone gets sent the same jobs?!?!!To be honest i thought i was doing someone a favour, as i in the past people have thanked for the post as they never got the email!!Sorry, My rant is over aswell!!!! I will try and limit them instead!!

Loolabell? Can I ask you - do you work for TNS? I'm just asking after your post on the alerts thread asking for people to contact you? Unless you're just directly quoting the email and it looks like you're asking people to contact you?

I might be alone in this, but if you're registered with a company we already get emails from them, saying we have an urgent job etc., and these come quite often enough already.

I just don't think there's any point in repeating them on the alerts thread - it's bad enough getting emails about Oban and the IOM when you don't live anywhere near them, or emails for jobs for men only, when I'm a woman, but I don't want to get a msg telling me there's a new alert only to find it's a junk email that I've already had to waste time deleting

Sorry, but had to get that off my chest and I'm assuming I'm not the only one.

Anyone got any update on the lack of payment from August assignments with FF?

Website now has details of payment for September assignments and no mention of August pay, even though the last message said they would keep us updated via the website.

I am on the verge of sending a very nasty letter and may have to look into what action I can take -anyone any idea what my options might be?

Costs peanuts, and you can reclaim your costs from them in any case.
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).
  • Posh Tapas places are on RE right now, people. They'll go fast!!

Can someone tell me, am I right in thinking it's only people with a very good average score on RE? Cos I know they have a ranking out of 12 but I have lost a few points lately so am pleasantly surprised to have been able to choose one of these jobs...

No posh tapas for me ;-( Maybe one day!
But yes i think you are right FE, you have to have a high score, not the score they show us but a special secret score

I happened to be logged on when the Spanish ones went on so I could have had my pick. I didn't go for one because you had to order 3 meat dishes and I am vegetarian:(
  • COuld you not go with a meat eating friend and then have something veggie for yourself? I hate paprika so won't be eating the dish involving that myself...Mind you, my friend is going to abandon me too as the extra dishes I want are all either fish or involving garlic or even both!!
  • With these ones, I know you have to order certain things but am I right in thinking you can then have ANYTHING you like to push it up to the limit? Cos there's some tasty looking puddings on the menu!!
