Trying to get old statements/account history from CC companies.

Hi All
I'm in the process of trying to get either all of my previous statements, od a print out of my account history from some of my cc companies. 2 of them that I have spoken to so far have said that statements are £5 each, and that they don't offer a print out of the account history.
When I asked them about a "Data Protection Act" request, they both stated that this would not include account financial details, but only names/addresses/call history etc...
Is this correct - surely a DPA request should include all of the data that they hold for me in electronic form...
Any thoughts
Matt

A subject Access Request under the DPA has to include all electronic and paper records and costs £10. Go to the article on reclaiming bank charges and follow from there.
If they do not comply then report them to the Information Commisioner.
The request has to be n writing though. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Here's a template letter that may help. Remember to include the £10 payment.
