Can anyone help me pls?

Hi,

My cousin's little girl is having her 6th Bday on Sunday, I m really confused as to what to get for her, I have already bought a dress for her, can still spend around £20 for a toy, can anyone pls suggest any toy on offer for a 6 year old or one which your child has enjoyed and you want to recommend.

Thanks in advance for all your feedback.

TC,

Pia

Help us narrow it down a bit. Does she like:

    dolls
    arts and crafts
    dressing up
    watching DVD's
    games (inside or outside)
    Anything else?

Can I just say though, that you seem to be spending a lot of money on your cousin's child. I normally budget about £20 for nieces / nephews / young cousins for birthday and Xmas, by doing the same throughout the family, no-one feels awkward etc. about spending more or less than anyone else. Some families have more or less of a budget than that, so maybe you're already sticking to yours.

Anyway, back to your question - see if you can narrow it down a bit more and I'll try and help

  • My DD3 will be 6 in December. She likes disney princess, bratz, spongebob and also Doctor Who. She loves clothes, pretty and trendy and anything arty crafty.

She absolutely loves the bear factory where you make your own bear, maybe a voucher for there would be good so she could choose her own and make it. They are quite expensive, about £25 initially but then you could always buy additional outfits for christmas

She wants one of those cupcake maker things for christmas but I think they are quite expensive and i'm not sure how good they are.

Little girls are easily pleased, unless there is something she is particularly interested, could you ask your cousin maybe.

    Hi,

I know its a bit overbudget but, she asked for a dress and a role play unit when I asked her what she would like on her bday? We normally do a £25 between just the both of us as we are very close. She loves play things, like kitchen/ vanity units but they all were for £25-30 and I can only spend £20 at the moment for a toy, hence I m confused.

Thank you so much for reading my post and helping me out.

I found this one for £19.99, but to be honest, it might be a wee bit young for her turning 6 - what do you think?

If you go to Argos and type in "role play" it comes up with a number of options, and quite a few at the £19.99 price, one of which might be suitable. I thought the £10 post-office set looked quite good. I think they used to do a sweet shop one with real sweets that was a hit with mine one Christmas.

    Good luck
  • My MIL bought a little microwave for playing at her house. It is pink and lights up inside and the turntable goes round. Maybe something like that rather than a whole kitchen. I'm sure it wasn't expensive, from ELC or woolworths and it came with some food to be cooked.
  • I bought my niece a Claires Accessories voucher for her 7th birthday. She had the time of her life choosing her £10 worth of items!
