I dont think its advisable to tell them you are planning on BC as they know if you do they wont see a penny and will probably step up the chasing you for payment ect.
I wouldnt tell them anyway."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

Skintjean,
Don't tell them, they'll turn even nastier, if they start to hassle you just tell them you're re-negotiating your DMP due to a change in circumstances and you'll get back to them ASAP.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
I wouldn't tell them, we did say to the creditors if you don't stop phoning DH will go BR. TBH we get very little contact from creditors anyway.Barclaycard 3800

A lot of people threaten BR when up against it. Few of us go through with it, so the collectors will assume that in all likelihood it is an empty threat. But they will step up the collection processes justs in case.
Best not to tell them. As Dalip, tell them that you are sorting it out and will have better details in a month.0 -
Don't do it, Skintjean. They'll call you even more frequently, and some may even try to make bankruptcy sound much more scary than it is when they talk to you. Just tell them you are seeking professional advice and will be in touch with them in a month. If you are finding the phone calls really stressful - I know I did - you can change your number.
Good luck
