    Anything in these please?

    Thanks.

Have got myself a copy of Lite: nada. Not sure about the other one yet.

BTW is answering own posts a sign of madness?!

Does anyone know if the Upper Crust voucher is for lunch time only? Is it one voucher per person per day?

Used my voucher today at 5 pm and had no problems - also used two vouchers and the manager was fine with it. Very yummy sandwich, I will be back tomorrow!

I can only speak for myself, and first part of your question.
Picked ds up from school, and asked if he was hungry - daft question really.;)
He said yes, so a quick detour via station - bought Indepdent at Smiths in Station, then quick hop across to Upper crust for a very nice warmed baguette and coke for him. This would be about 3.40pm....and lovely sa obviously knew all about the offer, and didn't query the time !!
They did look very tasty ( I didn't get a look in once he saw/smelt it:cool:), so I may just try for one each tomorrow, unless someone reports that is not allowed.....in which case I will drag him out the car and get him to buy his own Independent and early tea !!:D
The one I got today should have been £3.85, plus drink - so probably would have cost a good £5.
DS just sitting down to his second dinner now.....we will soon be hobbits and having 3rd breakfasts :p
I did spot the heads up on this offer elsewhere on MSE, and it implied it was every day - just checked my copy, and it says the same.
    No "time of day" specified
    hth:wink:

So Friday is free lunch and drink at Top Crust and Free coffee at Starbucks. Yum yum

    greedy! lol
  • Just come across some vouchers I got which were being handed out at my railway station recently. They are for 40p off Guardian Mon-Fri, 80p off Sat Guardian and £1 off Observer. Vouchers are valid until December 31st 2008 and each have a barcode beginning 99.

There is a card with them which says:
"Go to guardianvouchers.co.uk to get a further month of discount vouchers for the Guardian and Observer. Offer ends October 31st 2008."

I used 2 vouchers without issue.

Had a bacon & cheese - not bad but let down by the bacon - more fat than meat and little flavour added to a really tasty strong cheddar. The bread itself was very good.

Wouldn't catch me PAYING £3.75 for one of them though.

Also took a hot beef, spinach & horseradish. Sadly beef tasteless overcooked & chewy. Horseradish almost non-existant and what was there lacked any kick. Very disappointed for what should have been £3.99

I'll try 2 others tomorrow and if no vast improvement I'll probably give the rest of the week a miss.

I agree it takes months for the mail to send out these offers, I am still waiting for the swimming costume offer from July. So please do not rely on getting the game in time for a xmas present.
I just got the cd I sent for from a mail offer (I think). Supposed to be Sinatra- from Stour offers-they sent Kenny Rogers cd as said their supplier had run out and sent these instead. Hardly comparable. Anyway, they did say I could get my p and p back or see if they are getting more in next week

I chose the cheese and ham one for ds - which was quickly devoured.
The Tuna one looked good, so I may get that for myself tomorrow.
They also had a pork with stuffing and apple sauce I think it was.
At this rate we will be able to work our way through their entire menu.
Must admit that I wouldn't pay £3.85 for it - but £1 for baguette and drink is ok:rolleyes:

Forgot to mention that I didn't get a free bottle of water when I bought the paper from smiths - but they did have a whole stand of free bottle of water, but it was with a different 'quality' paper - but I cannot remember which one ;)
