Confused!!

I have just completed the cccs debt remedy and it didnt really tell me anything just said ring to sort out debt repayment plan but then just reading another post on this forum someone said cccs couldnt help them as income short of expenditure by £300. Well, if we paid minimum on all our unsecured debts we wouldnt have enough income.
Just worked out £34000 debt but after necessary payments ie mortgage, secured loans etc we have around £875 each month. The cccs budget thingy said we needed £650 of this for food clothes etc but this means £225 for debt repayments.
Surely, if people had enough money to be making the payments on their debts thay wouldnt be going for help to the cccs!
Worried they will say they cant help
How often do they do this?

Will post SOA when can

    Hello Ken :hello:

Welcome to the forum, click here to complete your SOA.

As for your debts, what's left over from your priority debts is usually spread around your creditors.
Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

Hi KKen - I think what it means is that as long as your income is covering your monthly expenses before debt repayments then they can help. They usually do this by negotiating pro rata payments from your disposable income with your creditors. I think the other poster couldnt meet their normal living expenses with their income before debt repayments.

Definately give them a ring, they will explain all your options to you and answer any questions you may have.

There will be plenty of help and support here for you too. x x
