help chicken doesn`t fit in slowcooker.

I am trying to cook my chicken in slowcooker for dinner tomorrow but it doesn`t fit does it have to be completely covered by liquid? I have read on other threads of people cooking leg of lamb but not completely covering it in liquid. Any suggestions please?

if you can get the lid on it'll be fine! i just put a cupful of liquid in (stock, white wine or whatever)0
