my partner works from home as a self employed childminder,we are having to get a new gas boiler fitted as our old one is just about ready to die, just wondering if she could claim part of the cost as an expense as she needs heating in the house for the kids, prob not but just thought i would ask.thanks in advance

No, you also need heating for the family. It is a capital expense and so even if it was allowable, she could only claim writing down allowance, reduced by the amount of private use.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0
