Steam cleaning of car seats?

Options
Anybody recommend where I could get this done in Belfast? Or recommend an alternative method of cleaning? It's dark cloth upholstery that has been stained I think by my son and his friends sitting in the car with damp clothing.

  • Did you try the yellow pages for valeting services, maybe too obvious. Or you could go into I think the co-op and rent one of their wet cleaners and do it yourself.
  • I've used a place at the bottom of Boucher Road before to remove stains from a car seat after a leaky sunroof and the previous owner's grubby wet dog! All the stains came out and the seat looked like new, even if it was quite damp for a day or two afterwards.

I can't remember the name of the place as it was a few years back but I know it's still there. If you are heading away from Stockman's Lane towards Broadway it's on your left down a kind of alley after the roundabout at the end of Tate's Avenue. I think it's just past a tile shop.

At the time I used them a lot of the car dealers on Boucher Road were bringing cars in to get them cleaned. In fact we blagged a lift up the road with one of them while our car was being cleaned!!

Thanks - don't suppose you can't remember how much they charged at the time?
  • From memory it cost £60 to get the car cleaned inside and out including the underside and the engine cleaned (for the MOT) and steam cleaning the back seat. They even washed my mother's car for free when she dropped us off to pick our car up!

That was almost 10 years ago but I guess they're still charging fair rates if they're still in business.

I've just found the name of the place - it's called Boucher Car Care. Their phone no is 9023 7770.
