I would say it is because they actually want people to visit the site/s
I don't know what this particular question was as I've already answered it and can no longer see it, but a lot of the questions need you to visit other sites in order to find the answer.
The outside sites are sponsoring the prizes and want to see an increased hit rate on the site to prove the prize was worthwhile for them - if people just get the answer from here the 100+ people enter and the site only gets 1 hit then it wasn't worth them putting the prize up so they don't offer any more and the comps stop.
