Hi,
Is there anything OS that I can use to clean mould off walls and keep it away? I do use bleach, but Im certain this makes it come back faster! Our house is old and damp and mouldy :rotfl: so maybe theres no escape.''A moment's thinking is an hour in words.'' -Thomas Hood0 -
Not really sure but might be an idea to fix the underlying cause of the mould first. Do you have any ideas what is causing it? Weve just had a nasty case in our bedroom and managed to get rid of it for now (was something to do with the loft not being properly insulated and bedroom not having enough ventilation) - we've just spent a fortune decorating so I'm praying that it doesnt come back!0

HG Mould remover sold by Lakeland . Costs £4.95 and is absolutley brilliant but makes your house stink of bleach.0

Try and get hold of a dehumidifier through freecycle. It is the only way of keeping mould down, but as has been mentioned - its worth investigating the cause.
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

This would be great, if they didnt cost around 40p a day to run. We had one at our other mouldy house, and it did collect a lot of moisture, but so expensive! maybe these days theres more economical ones?''A moment's thinking is an hour in words.'' -Thomas Hood0
