Anyone had dealings with these people?

My partner today had a demand from them for £130 owed to Scottish power. I doubt very much that we owe it as we always always pay our utility bills on time. I read a post here a little while ago about people dealing with these kind of menancing companies. Before I would have been frightened but not anymore thanks to MSE and the MSERs!!

So if anyone has any good solid advice on how to take from here or where I can go to for advice I would be extremely thankful.

Thanks

Annie

    Hi Annie

I found this company very harsh and difficult to deal with, they wouldn't accept any arrangements with me and I owed only a small amount £48.07 to be exact! I honestly wasn't in a position to pay it in one go and they where having none of it, but I've read through some old posts here and others find them ok! TBH I got a lend of the money and cleared it to avoid any !!!!!! from them

  • I have had dealing with them (Thank you Yorkshire Bank!)
I to just gave up with them, turned to CCCS and they sorted them out for my accounts!
@ Annie Fanny If you dont owe them anything, then tell them, they will give you some bull about sending you to Court, Just say 'fine, do it'
The court will have to see papers saying that you owe them money, if you dont owe them you have nothing to worry about, but they may damage you credit file!

Would have a read on other threads about this, I feel that these debt compaines just hammer anyone Mistake or not to get cash out them! And use the threat of court action to gain that very cash!

But keep reading...one thing is sure you have found 'one hell of a forum' to get answers, 'they' often hide! :T :T
