My wife has just started a netball team at the primary school where she works. She wants to know where she could get a free/cheap netball kit for the kids.

Any help greatly appreciated

    Hello covphoenix

If the children have PE lessons, they'll probably already have suitable clothing like polo shirts and gym skirts.............so all they need is a set of netball bibs and a netball. If she wants to buy new polo shirts, places like Tesco and Matalan sell packs of 3 at very cheap prices.

I suggest that your wife has a look at the All England Netball Association website to find the Regional Manager or Regional Development Officer for your area. I don't know where you live so I've selected Yorkshire/Humberside and you can change the region to suit you. The link is:

    http://www.englandnetball.co.uk/Regions/Yorkshire_Humberside/index.php

Contact them and ask for their help to obtain an old set of netball bibs and ball. Adult clubs often have junior teams (with smaller bibs;) ) and they might have an old set of bibs to donate. They will have details of other primary school teams in your area, who your wife can contact for friendly games.;)

    Good Luck

Might help if you could give us a bit more of a clue what you're after and where you are. My school for eaxample has a whole heap of old netball posts in a store cupboard which won't get used as we replaced them for new ones from Sainsburys last voucher scheme.

Phone round local schools and see if any of the high schols have a surplus.

  • Many thanks for the replies, i will get OH to phone around other local schools in Coventry and also get in touch with the All England Netball Association. This should definately help :T
