weekly spends challenge ~ w/c 12th October 08

Good morning everyone a010.gif. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

This challenge basically runs along side the daily spends thread where you post what you have spent daily. However you dont have to be in both to be involved in one. On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (sunday ~ friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isnt needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever.

We havent got a thread for last week so there is no pledges from last week ~ so please just pledge for this coming week.

Good luck all :j

I am aiming to spend less than £40 this week starting by not going to town today because I know I will then spend too much!! :) Lets see if I can remain below budget - I should be able to stay well below as I have plenty of food and I have no plans to go out anywhere at the moment :)

Hi PaP and all :) I would like to join in this week as I've just had a look at my 'leisure' spends for October and so far, in 11 days, I've spent £97.37 on unnecessaries! I do write everything I spend into the Spending Diary website, but I still need a 'challenge' to help me think twice about my spends. For this week, I am going to pledge £20. I'll be going out for lunch with friends probably one day, plus I may need phone credit this week and 'printing' credit for uni, so £20 should be enough.

  • Good morning everyone

I will pledge £5.00 this week as that's all I have to spend and am only on day 13 of my NSD challenge, I pledged 15 but set myself a limit of 20 to see if I can achieve it, so need some more NSDs lol. Hope everyone has a fantastic week, know it's been a tough time for so many, but threads like these keep me motivated and focussed.

    Thanx PAP.

    Cheers
