crap deals for 90% LTV people

Options
I feel very lucky that i managed to get the HSBC lifetime tracker at + 0.79 above base. (was avail until 2 weeks ago for 90% now only 75% ltv customers)

Since the rate cut, customers on 90% LTV (me) are being offered deals like +2.5 above base, putting them on about 7.00% or worse....

Scandalous!!!

I wouldn't say it's 'scandalous' - with property prices falling, a 90% LTV is a fairly high risk loan.

    It's called market forces.

Higher risk = higher cost to lend.

If things get worse, watch deals over 75% of property value vanish.

I wish I had got a lifetime tracker a couple of years ago when they were base rate -0.5.

I'd be more inclined to call it sensible ;)

    Sensible, not scandalous.

We don't want any more bank collapses than is absolutely necessary.

    The country can't afford it.
