help for new business?
Hi everyone,
Could I start with a bit of an introduction?
I am 38, an electrician, and have worked for a national petrol station maintenance company for the last 20 years. I have 3 children and the youngest is 3 in December. He suffers from a rare disease and is on chemotherapy.
Because of this, I have been off work with stress for the last 12 months, however I have been on a back to work interview to be told that my contract has changed in my absence (I have not seen or signed anything) and I am now required to work and stay away from home, which I can't so I am in breach of my contract. I was told that I would have an answer to my predicament from them a week ago now but have heard nothing.
I now have very little money, but want to start up on my own. I am fully qualified except for my part P and the latest 17th edition quals.
I feel it is my only option and is something have wanted to do for a long time.
Does anyone out there know if there is any help available from the government with training and starting up a small business?
It would be really appreciated.
Many thanks,
Kev

Well I found business link, who are full of good advice, and I have now passed my 17th edition (2382) qualification.
Looks like I'll have to go it alone!!!!0
