Ministry Of Food nearly 65% off

When i was in Waterstones today i had a look at the Ministry of food book by Jamie Oliver it looked really good but at £25 was way over my price range. On my way home i stopped a Sainsbury's, Northfleet, Kent and they have it for only £9.96, which i think is a good price. The offer at this price is only on until 15/10/08 and according to the sticker on the front it only applised to stock with a special sticker, so stock may be limited.

That made me laugh when I saw that book on the TV, he is trying to get the masses to learn to cook but kind of missing his target audience by giving the book an rrp of £30!Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!

Amazon are also selling this for £10 with free delivery if you spend over £15.
Looks good have added to my christmas list!Working hard to to pay off the mortgage within 5 years instead of 9 by considering every penny spent. Aiming to go part time the and enjoy a simple life with simple pleasures!0 -
The rrp is £25 not £30 but you will be hard pressed to find it at that price. Most stores have it at half price, and as seen here, quite a few have it at less than half price.0

Its not the author who sets the guide price it will be the publisher so you cannot blame Jamie Oliver for that
And so far as Jamie's website is concerned i think you will find the vast majority of stars and authors who sell directly to the customer always charge the full RRP and will be bound by a contract from the publishers to do so.
"I think the target audience are more likely to find themselves in McDonalds than a bookshop anyway."
Another rampant generalization there chris.
"have sales bombed already, so soon after its launched?"
dont think so top of amazon sales rank
