M&S - price guarantee ?

I ordered a pair of jeans from Marks & Spencer's website last week at a cost of £39.50, which were delivered yesterday. However I have just noticed that the same jeans are now in the M&S sale at £19.00.
Does anyone know if M&S will refund the difference in cost ?
I've not worn them yet, and all the labels are still on.
many thanks.

same thing happened to me, and I hadn't even recieved them - but they in sale at lower price.
I asked them - they said I could refuse delivery or take them back to store and get refund and then buy them again at cheaper price, but they wouldn't just refund the difference between price I paid and sale price=====================================

If you take them back for a refund and then try to buy them again they won't normally let you (unless you have a very accommodating sales assistant). I have been told they have to be put back on the floor so that everyone else has a chance to buy them0

refund them and then go to someone else and buy them again :P0

My experience is that they won't let you rebuy them. They put them on a rail to be put back on the shop floor, but you won't know when this will be.0

You'll have to take them back and hope the sales assistant puts them back out on the shop floor straight away (doubtful) knowing how busy they usually are. Its the luck of the draw when you buy something from a shop unfortunately, having worked in M&S and many other stores you just can't tell people not to by things as they are in the sale tomorrow.( I have had people try and do exactly what you want to do and I had to refuse them.) It is annoying though to buy something one day and find it much cheaper the next, its probably happened to everyone at some point.0

They do not have any sort of price guarantee like John Lewis.0 -
Easy. Buy them again in the sale and when they arrive, take them back with the original receipt to get a refund of the full price!0
-
youd have to be upfront and explain the situation to the sales assistant and hope he or she will do it for you.
If you fail try someone else on another floor. Then another store. Or give up after that point!0 -
Thanks for all the feedback !
I also came to the same conclusion as lisahobden, so I ordered an identical pair from the M&S website at £19.00.
When they arrive I'll take the original £39.50 pair back to one of their shops for a full refund.
Still, it makes you appreciate the likes of Amazon, where they guarantee to refund the difference in cost if they sell the same product cheaper within 28 days.0
