You're absolutely right, fatbelly - I've just re-checked the reverse of my claim form, and am rather red-faced now! I've also changed the word "court" to "claimant" in post #4 that I made the other day.fatbelly wrote:If you're not disputing the amount owed but asking to pay by instalments, read the form carefully. I think you return it to the creditor, not the court
Sorry!

It's a common mistake - done it myself!!! It doesn't seem logical, does it?0

It's rather bizarre, as the reason your creditor may take you to court is due to them being unhappy with the level of debt repayment you're making.fatbelly wrote:It's a common mistake - done it myself!!! It doesn't seem logical, does it?
Solution - You admit to them how much you owe them and then make the same offer of repayment?
It's too late for me to get me head around that!

I have disputed the amount. I've filled my claim form to the court online. I have had over £200 added to my debt through interest etc, and i've disputed this as i've repeatedly sent letters offering an amount i can afford and asked them to freeze interest of £21 a month which they have refused, so this is what i've disputed. I'm not sure if it was the right thing to do but it's done now..0
