    Just a quick update.

Well now my head is in gear (and I've overcome my fear of phoning), we have a plan.

The mortgage is reducing by £300pm by changing to interest only, hope to change back/make overpayments in 3 years time. We will be strong and determined about this.
The A&L (MBNA) debt is (partially) going to one of my free cards at 7.9% for life, leaving £7k on A&L which is being hit with every spare penny we have.
    Belts have been tightened!

Thank you all so much for your support and encouragement, it will be a long road, so you'll have to get used to me popping in to visit.

    Well done you!

Let me know if you ever want to buy anything. I'm great at not buying stuff for so long that eventually I don't need it!

    Well done JWM!

We have done much the same as you - switched our mortgage to interest-only and got the credit card debts onto 0% and low life of balance cards. I don't feel too happy about the interest-only mortgage, but it has enabled us to cope and I think this was the best decision for us.

Good luck with it and do pop back any time you want moral support or just a chat with someone who knows how it feels.
