At £49.99 it is probably the only real bargain beginners telescope available in the UK. It is a reputable brand with a decent basic specification, you should actually be able to see something useful with this scope! This is not the case for most other telescopes under £100. The cheapest it is available elsewhere is £99.99.

If it is anything like the quality of the Bresser microscope and binoculars Lidls have had this year then it is astounding value for money.

Even though I have larger scopes I am buying one as an easy grab and go telescope.

speedy joe can you please tell me the one I bought at aldi is astrolon. and has 262.5 power. seems to have the same things as the lidl one. have you heard of it and do you know if it will do for a six year old.
