Cabot - seeking help ?

I have been asking Cabot for a signed and executed agreement in respect of a debt they claim to have purchased from Sainsburys - nothing forthcoming since December 2007 - in August default was registered on my Experian file without notice
which is now causing great problems. The matter has been in constant dispute. Can anyone suggest how I can get this information removed. Experian will not do anything

Grateful for ANY help please

Mel

After sending the initial request for the CCA, did you send the 12+2 day letter? If so, did it contain a part where you were informing them that they no longer had a right to share your information with a 3rd party in accordance with the Data protection Act?

Yes - they've had 4 letters saying that since December 2007 and a section 10 notice under the DPA - they've had a complaint under their complaints procedure. I've reported them to Trading Standards - nothing - yet the information remains causing me serious damage

    Hi

Have you tried the Information Commissioner, since it is the DPA that you have invoked?
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

I haven't gone to ICO yet - I was planning on trying everything to assemble enough evidence to make the ICO actually deal with it by issue of letters, Section 10 Notices etc
