I overheard staff in the Matalan in Hull today saying that the sale starts tomorrow!
(also heard them saying that they had put things that they knew would be reduced away for themselves :eek: )

just for future reference, if you see a highlighted barcode/item number on the tags, they are the items that will be reduced in the sale.
as revealed by another MSE'r some time ago.

yeh sale starts today nation wide it was in the paper. I asked a member of staff what the highlighted green bit ment as i was sure it ment it was in the sale. He comfirmed this but also said it means it will be going in the sale but may not be in the sale yet confussing! I got him to check the top i wanted with the highligher on, and it still came up at full price so just watch out not everything with it on is def in the sale yet. He said it is to sell off the things they want to first then once they have gone the next load goes in the sale.

Just back from matalan beaumont leys in leicester and some ok stuff, managed to get playboy undies for half price, belts, skirts, jamas, candles and a vase, some of the canvas prints are 1/2 price too, spent £33, so £33 saving as i did realllllllllly need them.:D always on the lookout for a bargin always better when its free!!:T0

Ive just got back from one in the east midlands too but it was rubish. Hardly anything in the new sale as they still have clearance rails of stuff at the back of the store from the last sale that no one wants.:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boys

Pooped into the Bletchley branch today and there did seem to be a fair amount of stuff reduced. Picked up a dark grey suit for hubby for £15 (jacket £10, trousers £5) - will do him for the office! j x0
