PS2 memory card

This is probably obvious but having purchased slimlinePS2 £115 , an extra controller £15 and 5 games £70. I am now told I need to get a memory card, I have looked into it, 8mb. 16mb, 32mb, red orange, silver. Which/what do I need bearing in mind its a pressie for a 7 year old who will be playing basic sort of games on it, and ........ anywhere recommended for the best deals etc as a £100 pressie is now nearer £200.

I bought two 32mb from HMV last week on a BOGOF (i.e. £29.99 for one) but the BOGOF means you get two for that price. I also have a student discount card which entitles me to another 10% off BARGAINI haven't got one!0
