Agreed. and although I am sure that paulcornwall is a lovely and generous person, and its very easy to post on the wrong forum, or not to know which forum one should go for.
... but after posting an identical post on this forum earlier this afternoon and receiving an answer from a MOD, and a removal to the correct forum, he really should not have posted the exact same message here again so soon after the removal of his first.

well then that's fair enough, but i have seen alot of people post things in here which could be taken either way, yet they get jumped on, and normally in a harsh way. There are so many different topics i get lost in them and end up putting things in the wrong place, it happens, that's all

To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research ;)

Does it really matter? Is the world going to stop turning? I really don't get this obsession with people pointing out things are in the wrong forums
Everyone knows this is the most looked at forum and it's just a cheap trick to get more replies.....with the odd exception of a genuine mistake by a newbie.
So yes, it is only right that it is pointed out that the poster knows the rules but thinks...oh stuff you lot, I want an answer so I'll play the old "sorry if this is posted in the wrong place" tune......
Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D

Thank you for all that have replied. I'm sorry i posted in the wrong forum and as for the duplicate post it was a simply mistake. I thought the first posted failed as the system froze, i pressed the back button when the system woke up and realised it duplicated.
I do think it gets a little heated regarding postings. I'm scared to take part in discussions just in case i get flamed.
Just read the posts from people trying to alert others of bargains, many get it thrown back at them, there's no need.
Yes there are spammers etc but its fairly easy to tell a genuine MSE'er, i wish some people would just RELAX.
  • No problem, Paul. Thank you for your explanation of the duplicate post. Hopefully, you (and many others too!) will now have their favourites revived.
I think you were wise not to take part in the discussion too.
    Good luck.
I have gained from advice as well as bargains here, so if I can help in any way, I am only too pleased to do so and appreciate your thanks.

the point of forums is to seperate into different subjects.
it's just annoying that's all.

in this case, it is obviously not in the right forum.
if it's not important why not just have one big list of random stuff? ha.

    apologies, for OTT reaction.
    was in a foul mood.
