Debt Trouble - Finance Spreadsheet

Hi All :j
Try making a finance spreadsheet to help you with your debt.
I made one the middle of this year and I added tabs to the worksheet in Excel and now the spreadsheet runs for another year. It has all my outgoings, including monthly loan and credit cards payments, as well as rent and phone bills, etc.
When I get paid I enter the salary amount into the designated cell and the formula at the bottom of the sheet calculates what I have left after everything listed in my spreadsheet has come out.
I then go to the bank, draw out the "allowed" amount and divide it into 4 envelopes. I live from those 4 envelopes. I will need to do that for the next 2 years for me to be debt free but hell, I'm doing it!
It really works and it will teach you to be more disciplined with money.
If you need anymore help let me know.
I know debt it horrible but there is a light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how small

Hi Jo3y83
Your spreadsheet sounds interesting but I'm not that good with them! Is it easy to set up? Also would it still work for me as I get paid weekly?

It is easy to set up but can be difficult if you are not good with formulas. You can make it work for weekly pay just as well as monthly. Would you like me to set one up for you?0

Ok, no probs!
I'll understand if you wish not to tell me the figures but could you let me know what you pay out for and what dates it comes out on? I.e. rent, credit card, loan, etc?0 -
