want to buy my mum cd/radio/cassette player

hi
i'm looking to buy my fairly mature mum a new cd/ radio / casssette player for christmas.
I am looking for something where the most important factor is the ease with which her fingers can manipulate the buttons/ dials/ etc to change radio stations when required, or to change from listening to the radio to listening to cd or tapes.
i also need it to be portable so she can carry it round the house when needed, but i'm not looking for a walkman type thing.
happy to spend up to about £30, have seen ones as low as £8.00 but dont know what the quality would be like or how easy it would be for her to use.
any help gratefully received, be it actual use of a particular model or where i can compare diff models or reviews on the net.
many thanks

My experience of all radio/cassette/cd players is the it is the radio tuning that's fiddly, being over-sensitive - just a fraction of an inch and you lose/have passed the station!
How about this one which has 10 station presets, has DAB to-boot and is just £34! It's quite pretty, too, and she won't mislay it easily! And these boom boxes have quite good sound quality, too. They are quite heavy on battery power, so run them on the mains.

However, this is skirting around the issue. The real problem is that the cup is too big."0
