I have completed my SOA. I wasn't sure how to fill some of it out because we have a northern rock mortgage and loan in one we only pay i payment that is why the secured loan bit is blank. We looked at changing our mortgage a few months ago but it worked out that we would have to pay northern rock £1000 and the new mortgage company and we were only going to save £40.00 a month didnt seem worth changing mortgages. We have tried to apply for o% cc but refused. We have never not payed a credit card and only paid late about 3 times this year.

No we are'nt in arrears we are trying not to have the heating on during the day just in the evening for a few hours and for an hour in the morning. My husband works for virgin media so we get internet, tv and line rental free. My husband has a company van which he pays extra tax for. I dont drive so my husband drops me to work when he can or i walk the 30 mins weather permitting. Child related expenses I rounded this figure up I pay nearly £40.00 a month for school dinners and the other is for dance. My daughter has only just started school and is finding lunch times a bit difficult at the moment She was taking sandwiches but went onto the school dinners. I have my haircut about every 4 months £35.00 if I have it coloured its £65.00 but I'm not having it couloured anymore to save money. £35.00 is probably a lot to pay but I have used the same hairdresser for 13 years and wouldn't trust anybody else. The groceries are for 3 people i budget £50 a week.0

cheers for that....i think it might be possible to skim another 50 / 40 off the total of your monthly shopping.
what i do is i do it online....tescos for the clubcard points! i do a menu planner for the week (but sometimes its best for an online shopping for small costs to be done fortnightly to take advantage of one delivery payment only) but if any bogof deals then i change the menu to fit that in. i check out hotukdeals for a discount code as that greatly helps to get costs down. do a few main meals veggie to get costs down. buy it all fresh...it costs very little to make your own pasta/curry sauces. moneysaving old style is a good forum. another plus point of online shopping is you dont get the urge to put treats in as you odnt see them!! nothing worst than going around with my mob and each of them are trying to throw in various treats and i am trying to throw them back out again!:rotfl:0 -
Hi thanks for all your replies. I have checked the house insurance it did go up a few months ago because we got broken into but we are also paying a few pounds extra I think its something to do with if we need help with legal stuff so we could take that off the house insurance. I do sometimes shop online and I am trying to be a bit more organised with meals. I can sort this out its really the credit cards and mortgage where I get a bit stuck any ideas?0

you could always pop over to the credit card forum and ask about 0 % cards but would you be accepted for one? dont know how your credit rating is.0
