Deed of Assignment / CCA Request

Hello All,
Will someone please tell me what this means? I have written to 1st Credit a DCA who is asking for £3158. It's a long story but there is a dispute with the original credit card company over exactly how much is owed and the DCA, 1st Credit have acknowledge this. Anyway, I have written and asked for the CCA. This morning I received a letter which says, 'The document is you have requested is held by our client. Will will therefore advise them of your request and arrange for the document to be forwarded to you asap'
This is the part that I am confused about. It goes on to say, 'Should your request also include the below documents, please be advised of the following: Deed of Assignment - we would refer you to Section 136 of the Law of Property Act 1925 which provides that the debtor is notified of the assignment of the debt in writing and not a copy of the Deed its self'
Copy Statements - there is a charge of £10 for this information. On receipt of the information we would expect you to contact us immediately to arrange settlement of the debt.
Does this mean that we are not entitled to the CCA or the Deed of Assignment is a different document altogether?
Please help because I feel like they are trying to be clever here with legal speak. Courts do not scare and neither do they but I have to know what I am talking about before I make a fool of myself!!!!
Thank you

A notice of assignment should be sent when a debt is transferred or sold to a DCA . You can request that from them when you put in a CCA REQUEST . These companies often do not hold a copy of the CCA , but that there problem . You keep to the timescale in the CC ACT. send the second letter and then the default letter . If you track down my thread CCA REQUEST RESULTs , it,s all in there .0

They just trying to fob you off you stick to the 12 days and 30 day timescales they will use all sorts of tactics to try and get you to settle without them passing to you the true signed CCA and a deed of assignment of the debt to themselves they cannot enforce the debt they know this so will try what they can to get you to pay up. Just sit down and watch the days tick past. MOst DCA companies will not have the correct paperwork to legally enforce a debt as they buy them off companies for very little in bulk.0
