I hope someone can help me..
On 1 October 2008 I sent a letter to Westcott requesting a copy of my credit agreement, sent it recorded and put in my £1.00 postal order. They received it, according to the PO website so they can't dispute that. Now I have received a letter from their solicitor dated 6 October 2008, today, saying they are acting for Westcott and want a payment made to their client within 7 days, otherwise legal proceedings may be commenced without further notice.
Now I don't know what to do, as the 12 days isn't up yet from Westcott so can't do anything much with them.
I was thinking that I should send a letter to their solicitor saying this account is under dispute and send them a copy of the letter sent to Westcott on 2nd October. Trouble is I don't want to get a judgement against me, although I have got a default which I understand could stay for 6 years if I cann't get it removed due to Westcott possibly not having the credit agreement with my name on.
Any help would be appreciated..
Thanks in advance.

Just sit tight and wait for CCA from Westacott they are just trying it on trying to scare you into paying up. The account has now been put into dispute so they will bnot take legal action against you.0
