Mortgage Late Payment Fees

Hi,

Does anyone know whether I can re-claim charges for late payment of mortgage fee letters. I have been charged £40 a month for the last couple of years from Halifax for them to tell me that I am behind on my payments..

You can try although there hasnt been as much success on this front. Mainly as mortgage arrears fees are generally packaged as admin charges and not penalty charges. Some have had refunds but more seem to get nothing.
