Help understanding my loan!

Hi everyone, i've been lurking here for a long time but i decided to register as i have a question i need some help with. I can't find an answer searching the forums.

Basically, i have a £5000 loan (quite a high rate) that i took out when i was young and stupid. I should hopefully be getting a bit of money soon and would love to pay it off.

I've asked for a settlement figure (its been ages coming apparently you have to do it by writing)

Basically my question is, will the settlement figure incorporate all the interest i would have paid on the loan? Say i would have paid back £8000 over 5 years, will my settlemnt figure be close to that or will i save interest by paying early?

The loan is with Black horse and they screwed me. (But thats another story!)

Thanks a lot for your help.
Kai.
