Laptops, due to their very nature aren't that upgradeable, unlike desktops. Getting replacement parts is a different story. If you are expecting to need an upgrade, and it has to be a laptop, then my advice would be to buy the best spec you can to get the best longevity out of it and then sell it on and buy a new one. if you ask on the techie board some of the excellent guys and gals on there can advise. I went for a high spec laptop from Dell outlet, after weeks of watching for the right deal and then rejecting one straight away. It helps if you can monitor the outlet at odd times.
Alternatively, if you can manage with a desktop you will get a lot more for your money.
