When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Hi to any new posters and a big shout to the usual gang:j
Today I will:
Doing a coffee morning later for my oldies so will be having lovely bacon butties for free later:j
Have a good day, catch up with you all later.
Good morning Mickey...Couldn't decide whether you were late with yesterdays thread or early with todays...........:)

Morning Sophiesmum, Spamjam and all who follow :hello:
It's sunny and bright here, and of course I'm sparkly
Today I have/will:- brought in lunch, with HM bread. My bread goes stale so fast, and now the kids have gone, it isn't consumed fast enough
I'll definitely have to have a cup of tea with my quite dry sandwich at lunchtime.
- off to the local Amdram tonight, so not a NSD. I've lost my debit card and had to have it stopped, while I wait for a replacement I'm restricted to cheques only
hopefully my cousin will allow me to buy the tickets with a cheque, and she'll buy the wine at the interval and the programme. But it's not an expensive night out any way.
- Supper is in the slow cooker
- I'm charging my phone at work.
- please don't mention e-bay
now I'm really sparkly
(does that come because I've gone over 2,000 posts?)0 - brought in lunch, with HM bread. My bread goes stale so fast, and now the kids have gone, it isn't consumed fast enough

no Spam.jam, I'm just not listing things, despite photographing them despite posting on here that I WILL list things.
I have had a few troubles with selling, but not enough to stop me yet, just niggly things, like dishonest buyers, argumentative buyers and buyers who give me low feedback on p&p when I'd miscalculated them and it cost more to post than I'd charged them for p&p
Oh, and the fees :mad:0 -

Olyveoil.re - .....with HM bread. My bread goes stale so fast, and now the kids have gone, it isn't consumed fast enough
I'll definitely have to have a cup of tea with my quite dry sandwich at lunchtime.......
I slice mine and freeze it when I do it cos you are right it doesnt keep well - its a palava but then again what isnt?!! But maybe you tried this alreay, my pals have one of those bread saver things from lakeland they swear by it kinda tuperware that squishes down as the bread is used....looked they aren't cheap!
Spam - jam Washing on cold, yeah seems to work ok, not if things are 'mucky mucky' but you know if worn it for a day maybe or so, its not 'clean' but its not dirty - so we often do cold washes for bits and bobs - to be honest I can't tell the difference.....unless I am gardening and the kids are out and about in garden what does actually get dirty?? Not much!
Sparkly toe nail polish - surely that counts too
