well, really, i watched most the episodes he's done but never seen him like this. Rather than you usual energetic, enthusiastic, chirpy self we see a Martin who (to me) appears completely stressed, downtrodden & lacking in a huge bout of confidence.
This isn't a criticism, just something i noticed (as did alot of others i suspect).
Note to Martin - it isn't your fault, try take a chill pill & carry on as you always have done, giving out the best advice with your usual words of caution. In fact (and i reckon it was a deliberate move) the serious tone you carried was important to the message you needed to put across.
Out of interest, anyone know the ongoing viewing figures for each episode?
Martin, keep it up mate, there's so many people believing in you.

I think the toll of the past few days is showing on Martin on the show (for obvious reasons.)
The show didn't have its usual manic/zany feel to it. I still enjoyed it - even though the mood was somewhat sombre. (Incidentally, I'm a huge fan of Aggie and How Clean is Your Home? so I thought she was an excellent guest to have on the programme.
It's just a shame that things get overshadowed by all the turbulence in the financial system.0 -
Yes, love you Martin, and thanks for changing the way people think about money!
Re the show (and Channel 4), I think Martin was right to be a little bit down - I thought it showed empathy with people are worried about their savings.
Hope we can all move on very soon.
big ((((hug)))), Martin (and I'm not from the DFW Board!).
Love

To explain, I couldn't/can't find the play button for last weeks episode0 -
Of course it was right that the tone of the programme was more serious. It certainly didn't seem downtrodden or in lacking in confidence to me. The whole team are to be congratulated, as at noon that day much of the script and running order had to be changed.
The new 'Five' logo was on top of Martin's face at the start. Now everyone knows where it is, perhaps shots can be framed to avoid this?0
