Wind-up watches

Do they still make wind-up watches? after a quick search I've come up with nothing apart from vintage ones on Ebay. Does anyone know where you can get them?

Most prestige brands produce mechanical movements, it really depends on what you want to spend. Though they are unlikely to need winding most, like mine, are automatic.

You could probably find a decent price on a secondhand one from a jeweller.

Do you want an automatic, self winder, or do you yearn for the routine of winding your watch every morning?
I`m not sure from your handle if you are after mens or womens style, ladies are often too small for a mech movement although they are available at a price.

The choice is much greater in mens size. Tissot for instance do some good watches in a wide range of prices. How about this one? You dont have to spend a fortune either, maybe one of these Russian ones would suit you?
As Wallbash says the sky is the limit when you start to get interested in mechanical watches.
Have a think about your budget and what sort of features you want and post back, I`m sure you will get a flood of good suggestions.

  • Thanks everyone, I'm looking for a wind up watch for my daughter, around £50 max at this point as she's only 11. Her friend has a wind up watch that belonged to her mother and my daughter is fascinated with it.
