Online purchase for relative in USA.

Is it possible to make a purchase in the uk from a us store with delivery to a relative in the US using a visa card?
This would save the hasle of UK purchase followed a despatch to the US.

Yes, it is possible, but it would depend on the particular policies of the US store, and their online sales. I used to do this regularly when my daughter was at college in the States.

It was easy with Amazon.com, as they allow you to list alternative shipping addresses, and will accept UK credit cards as a method of online payment.

The biggest difficulty I can see is some US stores may not ship to any address other than that of the cardholder who has made the payment.

Have to agree with the Amazon suggestion; I have done that several times, they gift wrap as well which is nice.

Ebay.com is another idea as you can pay by Paypal.

There are also several hamper type companies - I haven't tried this yet but intend to at some point

    Good luck.
